Ongoing Activities
After the 1998 cyclone struck areas within the Kutch district, local development organizations came to recognize the importance of collaborative work. The result of this collaboration was the forming of the Abhiyan netork which is now committed to improving, protecting, and nursing the economic, social, hygienic, educational, cultural, spiritual and ecological heritage in the Kutch district. It is in this spirit that we plan, implement and coordinate with or through member organizations in various programs involving education, agriculture, protection of traditional livelihood and ecology, rural science and technology, programs for women and support to vulnerable populations. the various ongoing projects that Abhiyan is currently working on.
